The ODHS is happy to announce that the Oliver & District Museum and the Oliver Archives will reopen June 2nd for Museum visits and research appointments.
The Museum will be open with limited hours in June as part of a phased reopening process, with increased open hours planned for July and August. The Archives will maintain its regular hours for research appointments.
To ensure visitor safety, all visits and appointments must be booked in advance.
We will be implementing special safety measures in accordance with our new COVID-19 safety plan. These include increased cleaning at both buildings, physical distancing measures, restrictions on visitor numbers, contactless payment methods, and a new online booking system for Museum visits. Museum visits may be booked using the button below or by phoning 778-439-3100. Researchers and visitors to the Archives can make an appointment by calling 250-498-4027 or by emailing the ODHS.
To make your visit safer, staff will use masks when assisting the public. Visitors are also strongly encouraged to bring their own masks to wear inside the buildings. Anyone who is ill, has recently traveled, or has been in contact with a sick person in the last 14 days is asked to stay home and to reschedule their booking.
During our closure, we have been hard at work on a new temporary exhibit on Oliver’s Scouting history as well as new online activities. We look forward to welcoming back our treasured researchers and visitors and sharing our work with them as we continue to present and preserve Oliver’s colorful past.
We hope to see you soon!
